Mi-Vox
Obama goes for another first
He was the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review, when he wrote Dreams from my Father, now Barack Obama is the first African American President of the United States and he is also the first author, whose autobiography – read by himself – is available on Mi-Vox.
Fans of Obama can now listen to the great man himself wherever they are! The lightweight Mi-Vox audio player allows users to listen to Obama’s early memoirs while commuting, working out in the gym or simply relaxing on a beach. The audiobook covers Barack Obama’s childhood and student days up until the point he was making history at the Harvard Law Review.
In 2006 Obama won a Grammy for his audiobook and Mi-Vox are pleased to be able to introduce his autobiography to the masses. “There is nothing more exciting, than to actually listen to an autobiography when it’s read by the author and you can’t beat it, if that author is the President of the United States”, says Gerald Fitzalan Howard, chairman of Mi-Vox.
Celebrated as a masterpiece, Dreams from my Father, is a refreshing, revealing portrait of a young man asking the big questions about identity and belonging.
While audiobooks are often perceived as for the elderly or children, the Mi-Vox player has already been accepted as a cool new gadget, but now that the Barack Obama autobiography is available on Mi-Vox, it will take audiobooks to a completely new level. Listeners of all age groups can now enjoy listening to ‘Mr President’ around the world.
Dreams from my Father on Mi-Vox is available from www.mi-vox.com and selected retailers (RRP £19.99). Barrack Obama reads for 7 hours and 30 minutes.
