Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi
Celebrate Valentine’s Day in the most romantic setting
Why not spend Valentine’s Day in one of the most romantic countries in the world – Italy! Enjoy a stay in one of the most wonderful and relaxing historic houses in the unspoilt Le Marche region.
Valentine’s Day breaks can often feel commercial and rather impersonal, but at the Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi couples, who are looking for a relaxing getaway in naturally beautiful surroundings, will be able to enjoy the perfect holiday.
The Borgo lies on a hill along the valley of the River Tronto, a few kilometres from Ascoli Piceno and is a home as much as a national monument with views of the Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic coast. The Borgo is an oasis from daily life, perfectly combining culture and tradition with attention to detail and quality service.
There are two special offers for Valentine’s travellers (valid until 31.03.10).
‘Suite Love’ is based on a one-night stay in a deluxe suite. Couples can enjoy a romantic dinner in a truly private dining area followed by a delicious breakfast the next morning served in their luxurious suite. This package is ideal for those looking to get away for a well-deserved Valentine’s treat. Prices start from 300 EUR for two (special rates for additional nights are available).
For those looking for a longer stay ‘The Romantic Getaway’ package is ideal. This three-night package promises an unforgettable stay in the Relais Villa, a medieval fortress converted into luxurious accommodation. Couples can enjoy daily breakfast, a romantic candlelight dinner and a relaxing massage in their suite. Prices start from 490 EUR for two.
All is surrounded by a historic garden of rare beauty with lots of romantic corners. The garden was planted between 1875 and 1890 by the renowned botanist and landscape gardener Ludwig Winter, and today it is the first bioenergetic garden in Europe with many exotic plants and it is one of the 72 Great Italian Gardens.
Le Marche is an Italian region rich in culture, but there are also plenty of opportunities to enjoy beach life or a shopping spree. There is always plenty to do and this year around Valentine’s Day you have a chance to enjoy the carnival spectacle in the surrounding towns and villages.
“Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life.”

LE MARCHE:
A combination of experience, history and nature makes Le Marche one of the most culturally interesting regions in Italy. It has the highest density of museums and galleries in Italy, with approximately 100 città d’arte, 106 castles and 71 important historic theatres. Here the food and wine produce have maintained their authenticity and originality. The hills of Le Marche slope gently down to the sea and thick tropic-like vegetation merges into the sandy beaches of the Adriatic coast.
9 km (5½ mi) from the Borgo lies the city of Ascoli Piceno, called the “travertine city”, whose origins date back to the 6th – 7th centuries BC. The Piceno coast, 18 km (11.2 mi) from the Borgo also known as the Palm Riviera has always been a favourite destination for holidaymakers from Italy and abroad. It is particularly attractive in the months of June and September for those who want to be far from the crowd.
Le Marche has also established a reputation for the number of factory outlets for Italian designers like Tod’s, Cesare Paciotti, Fornarina, Genny and Prada, but also for many locally handmade goods.
